Listening to the Voice

The Voice is the signal that comes from nearby, or from far away.  It is the sound of your own inner knowing as it wants to reach into your life.

The drum above is from the South Seas, where it was used to communicate from boat to boat in times and places where radios were not around.  It rolls out a deep bass tone that has the power of command, and can be heard for miles.  It also may sound softly, and soothingly, as a background to singing.

The Voice may be your own, or it may be that of someone you have not yet met.
Or it could be one that belongs to someone that you know well, a friend or a family member.

It may be welcome, or you may find that it disturbs you.  Or, it could be both at the same time!  Often the creative energy comes in by the side door, unannounced, and upsets the way we have been looking at life.  When that happens, it is common to tell it to go away, there isn't time for that, or that what it suggests may be too far away from what is already going on. The time for action is not yet, you say, or tell yourself the whole idea is too stupid to even consider.

The Voice of the Creative may appear to be downright dangerous! What if you listened to it, and gave it a chance to show you something new?
How would that change your idea of who you are?
What if you are bigger and more resourceful than you think?  What if you went ahead and did something new, just a little tiny step at first, perhaps?  What's around the corner?

Until you take the step around the corner,
you aren't going to know
the answer to that question.
Once you do make that step around the corner, you will at least have taken a look.

Think about doing something you haven't tried before.  Listen to the Voice.  Take action on an idea you have been putting off.

It might be just the thing to make your day a lot more enjoyable.

All my best, always,
