Stirrings to Action

The neuron in the picture is getting ready to move information.  It does this by changing the nature of the charges held within its arms, or dendrites, moving them to connect with other neurons.

The number of ways that they can connect is said to be larger than the number of atoms in the known universe.  Constantly changing, the tiny bodies that make up our nervous systems are the engines of our growth, of our intelligence, and the source and driving force of all actions that we take.

Each of us is like the neuron, a small part of a larger whole.  The ways we connect, the basis of how we communicate, form the realities that we experience as we live our lives.

Every moment contains a series of questions, and their answers.  Most of the time we are not even aware fo what those are.  Too busy caught up in the appearance of things, perhaps intoxicated by the idea of being busy, the stirrings of information and the realities that our decisison create may be invisible until the visible forms show us what we have been doing.

The artist and the writer have the role of bringing out the hidden messages and showing them to the world.  The world may or may not be ready for the message.  Nevertheless, the message has a life of its own and will not stop showing up.  It's looking for you, knowing you can carry it.  It's a risk.

What if you don't get the results you hoped for?  What if nobody listens, or you are flatly rejected?  Rejection isn't the worst thing.  The worst thing is to know you have a gift, one that can make things better for someone, and not to give it.

When you are ready to take the chance, and put the message out there, it may be that only a small number of people actually are ready for it.  Those people are the ones who are waiting for what you have to offer.  Don't wait until everybody is ready.  It's not going to happen.

All my best, always,
Betty
