Listening to the Voice

The Voice is the signal that comes from nearby, or from far away. It is the sound of your own inner knowing as it wants to reach into your life. The drum above is from the South Seas, where it was used to communicate from boat to boat in times and places where radios were not around. It rolls out a deep bass tone that has the power of command, and can be heard for miles. It also may sound softly, and soothingly, as a background to singing. The Voice may be your own, or it may be that of someone you have not yet met. Or it could be one that belongs to someone that you know well, a friend or a family member. It may be welcome, or you may find that it disturbs you. Or, it could be both at the same time! Often the creative energy comes in by the side door, unannounced, and upsets the way we have been looking at life. When that happens, it is common to tell it to go away, there isn't time for that, or that what it suggests ...

The Arrival

An idea is on its way, circling around you, waiting to arrive. How will you know when you are ready? Is there ever a time that you will be ready? Do you have a story that keeps you from being ready...you are too busy, that it isn't time yet, that They couldn't possibly be talking to YOU? Make it a habit to create a state of readiness, and when the idea comes, and it is ready to arrive in your life, you will know it and welcome it home. It may have had a long and perhaps arduous journey to arrive at your doorstep. Welcome it in. Don't be too busy to make your life better. As a writer, I never know exactly how it's going to go when I sit down at the keyboard. I make it a habit to be ready to listen for new ideas, wherever they come from, and guess what? They show up. Often as I am putting words on the page, I discover something that I hadn't thought of before is ready to jump in, and make it all so much better....

Your Idea In Flow

Deep within, the ideas never stop flowing. All day and all night, they are released into your mind from the Infinite. Many of these ideas just keep on going, and you never do anything about them. There are too many! And so it goes, the fountain keeps on giving, and you drink what you can. The ideas and the energy they hold give life its magic, and you take what you can, and many of the ideas move on to somewhere else. Some, though, are meant for you. They are the ones that keep coming back, over and over, saying "Will you bring me to life?" I know for sure that ideas have a life of their own. In fact, ideas are the very force of life itself! When an idea lands with you and you take action on it, it can become a reality. If you don't, eventually it gets tired of asking you, and it moves on to somebody else to come into visible form.
