Feel the Heat

The creative process generates heat.
Like any chemical reaction, it takes place in stages.  Starting out as an idea, and then moving toward visible expression, the energy moves through us and our lives.   At amny moment, it may b e enhanced or diminished by our own states of mind, of emotion, by physical events.

Still, always, the dance continues.  Never ceasing, the forces of nature  compound and join, break apart, in variations without number.

The morning birds remind us that it is always a new beginning.  The colors in the sky at dawn, vivid and splendid, raising our spirits, then echoed again at sunset, placing an end to daylight, each one a reminder that we are all living within the Great Vessel that holds all beings.

No wonder that it's sometimes uncomfortable!  AS humans, we crave for meanings, for structures, for reassurance.  We are acutely aware of our limited state.  Yet within there is something stirring, something that doesn;t ever stop.  How to get into that energy and coexist with it, without being swallowed up and consumed by the heat?  This is the riddle of all artists in all ages.

There is no one right answer.  Truth defies our efforts to contain it, to simplify and tame it.  We don't even know what we don't knopw.

Does this sound overwhelming?

Are you one of those people, like me, who has so many ideas going on, that it's a real challenge to figure out how to line things up so that they make any kind of sense?

The answer is...SYSTEMS.  Stress, overwhelm, exhaustion...these can be overcome.  It's all about getting your priorities lined up so that the kettle that you tend does not boil over but simmers gently and the sweetness of your expression can be brought to completion.
It's like making jam.  There's a way to do it right.
